SPAY & NEUTER VOUCHERS

Financial assistance for spays and neuters is available to pet owners, feral cat trappers, and community cat colony managers in the form of vouchers. Vouchers are only available for Shasta County Residents.

All of the vouchers below can be purchased at Haven Humane’s Animal Regulation Department. Contact (530) 241-2550 for more voucher information. All vouchers can be used for spay/neuter services at Haven Humane Veterinary Hospital if preferred. When redeemed at Haven's Veterinary Hospital, there may be additional funds available to add to your discount through Haven Humane grants.

1) Services at Haven Humane: Low Income Voucher

  • Can only be redeemed at Haven Humane Society Veterinary Hospital.

  • For those who live within the city limits of Redding.

  • Must demonstrate low income by way of a MediCal, MediCare, or CalFresh card.

  • $50 off for cats. Limit one per household per year.

  • $75 off for dogs (must be licensed). Limit one per household per year.

  • This voucher can be combined with other vouchers listed below.

2) Services at Haven Humane: Feral Cat Trappers Voucher

  • For those who trap feral cats within the city limits of Redding.

  • Can only be redeemed at Haven Humane Society Veterinary Hospital.

  • $50 off.

3) Services at Any Veterinarian: Redding Voucher

  • For those who live within the city limits of Redding and want to use ANY veterinary hospital.

  • No income requirements.

  • $25 off for cats, limit two per household, per year. Vouchers cost $2 each.

  • $30 off for dogs (dog must be licensed).

4) Services at Any Veterinarian: Anderson Voucher

  • For those who live within the city limits of Anderson and want to use ANY veterinary hospital.

  • No income requirements.

  • $20 off for cats, limit 2 per household, per year. Vouchers cost $2 each.

  • $20 off for dogs (dog must be licensed).

 5) Services at Any Veterinarian: Shasta County Voucher

  • For those who live in the unincorporated areas of Shasta County and want to use ANY veterinary hospital.

  • No income requirements.

  • $20 off for cats, limit two per household in a 12-month period. Vouchers cost $2 each.

  • $40 off for dogs (dogs must be licensed).

City of Shasta Lake residents: The Animal Control Office at 3025 Ashby in Shasta Lake also provides vouchers that take $15 off for cats and $20 for dogs.
